Nicky's Law has proven a successful tool to protect individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities. It allows care providers to screen job applicants with substantiated abuse cases to ensure they cannot move from job to job and continue to harm vulnerable clients. Now it's time to expand Nicky's Law/Dana's Law to cover MassHealth day habilitation programs which are not currently covered. Our bill, filed in conjunction with The ARC of Massachusetts, does just that to ensure that more than 8,200 day hab clients are protected.
