I am pleased to announce that Hanson, Marshfield and Pembroke are being awarded a Public Health Excellence for Shared Services grant. The purpose of this grant is for communities to work together with surrounding communities to strengthen the local public health system to align with the recommendations of the Special Commission on Local and Regional Public Health. By pooling resources, functions, and expertise, a consortium of cities and towns can improve compliance with their statutory and regulatory mandates and expand the public health protections and services they offer residents.
