Local infrastructure and roadway funds approved

The Mass. House has approved a bipartisan package of $350M in infrastructure and roadway funding for cities and towns. This legislation includes $200 million in direct Chapter 90 funding for local roadway improvement projects, plus an additional $150 million for municipal grant programs.

These grant programs include $40 million for construction, resurfacing and repair of municipally-owned state numbered routes, $30 million for the Complete Streets grant program, and $30 million for the municipal small bridge repair program. The bill also includes $25 million for projects improving access to commuter rail stations. These grants are in addition to the regular annual allocations via Chapter 90 which are as follows:

Duxbury: $535,568 Pembroke: $559,487 Hanson: $320,962 Halifax: $265,771 Marshfield: $741,929
