The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) has awarded a safety training grant through the Department of Industrial Accidents Workplace Safety Training Grant program, to the town of Hanson in the amount of $4,000 to train 8 workers by June 2022.
The Department of Industrial Accidents administers this initiative to provide Massachusetts companies with the financial assistance to promote safe and healthy conditions in the workplace by funding preventative safety training and education programs.
Occupational Safety Health Education and Training Program applications are reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis each fiscal year. Approximately $800,000 was allocated for FY22. The program encourages organizations to have a proactive approach to safety.
