The public hearing notice for the 2022 Draft Intended Use Plans (IUP) for the Clean Water Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) from MassDEP’s Division of Municipal Services can be found on MassDEP’s website. The virtual public hearing will be held on March 22, 2022 and written testimony will be accepted through the end of that same day. The Draft IUPs include recommended financing of $963 million for clean water projects and $357 million for drinking water projects across the Commonwealth.
Through Chapter 102 of the Acts of 2021, An Act relative to immediate COVID-19 recovery needs, $100 million of American Rescue Plan Act funds were appropriated to the Clean Water Trust to support SRF infrastructure projects - $87.1 million will be used as grants for principal forgiveness for 2021 IUP construction projects and 2022 IUP combined sewer overflow construction projects.
