Great to catch up with Pembroke Police Chief Rick MacDonald this week to get update on how the department has allocated the funds I was able to secure for them during last year's state budget. My amendment included funds for new communications gear and digital portable radios to help officers stay in touch in more remote areas of town. They were also able to make some key technology and public safety upgrades for the booking areas and interview rooms. Love to see the positive impact of the work we do advocating for our towns. Thanks to Chief MacDonald and team for really stretching these funds in a cost-effective and fiscally prudent way to better service the public safety needs of the town.
