Attorney Generals office and the DPH will hold virtual forum to discuss opioid settlements

The Attorney General's office and the Department of Public Health will hold a virtual forum on Friday, June 24 at 2pm to discuss opioid settlements, and how those funds can be used to address the opioid epidemic. Municipalities, boards of health, community organizations and the public are invited to attend this convening. Please see below more information about the forum, including the Zoom link to join:


The Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services and Office of Local and Regional Health invite you to join a virtual forum about the statewide opioid settlements on Friday, June 24 at 2:00 - 3:30 pm, eastern time.


The forum will provide information about settlements with opioid distributors AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal and McKesson and opioid manufacturer Johnson & Johnson. Attendees will learn about when and how abatement funds from these settlements will start flowing to the state’s Opioid Recovery and Remediation Fund and to participating municipalities, and how those funds can be and are being used to combat the opioid epidemic. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.


Audience: Municipalities, local health boards, community-based organizations, and the public.
